Apple says the M5 Pro and M5 Max offer up to 30% faster CPU and up to 50% higher graphics performance than the previous generation. Every model has a Liquid Retina XDR display with ProMotion up to 120 Hz: 14.2" (3024×1964) or 16.2" (3456×2234). A nano-texture display is an option only on the MacBook Pro and is configured to order — if you are considering it, ask us about availability.
14" or 16" — which size
- 14" (1.55–1.60 kg, 1.55 cm thick) is easier to carry every day. In our range: M5 and M5 Pro.
- 16" (2.14–2.15 kg, 1.68 cm thick) gives you a bigger screen plus the M5 Pro or M5 Max. For the M5 Max the 16" is the sensible choice.
- The M5 Pro in the 16" has more cores than in the 14" (18 vs 15 CPU, 20 vs 16 GPU) and, according to Apple, longer web battery life (17 h vs 14 h).
Which chip for whom — and which model from our range
- M5: XDR 120 Hz screen, HDMI and an SD slot, up to 24 h battery and a fan, but no need for Pro-level power. Pro 14" M5 24/1 TB — 9790 zł.
- M5 Pro: heavy photo and video editing, programming and big builds, music production, up to 3 displays, local AI models (up to 64 GB RAM). Pro 14" — from 10750 zł, Pro 16" — from 13100 zł.
- M5 Max: 8K and multicam video, 3D and VFX, very large local AI models, up to 4 displays. Pro 16" M5 Max — from 18700 zł.
- 16" M4 Pro (2024): a 16" option that costs less than the M5 Pro, with the same XDR screen and up to 24 h battery — 24/512 GB, 10999 zł. The M5 Pro has more CPU cores (18 vs 14), higher memory bandwidth (307 vs 273 GB/s), Wi-Fi 7, support for up to 3 displays (M4 Pro: up to 2) and, in our configuration, 1 TB of storage (13100 zł).
How much RAM: 24, 48 or 64 GB
- 24 GB — a good starting point for photography, programming and music. The Pro 14" M5, 14" M5 Pro, 16" M5 Pro (13100 zł) and 16" M4 Pro all have it.
- 36 GB — the M5 Max from 18700 zł (32-core GPU, 460 GB/s).
- 48 GB — for large video projects, big builds and larger AI models: the Pro 16" M5 Pro (16090 zł) or the M5 Max (20600 zł, 40-core GPU, 614 GB/s).
- 64 GB — the ceiling for the M5 Pro: the Pro 16" Silver with a 2 TB drive (20600 zł).
So for 20600 zł you choose between an M5 Pro with 64 GB of RAM and an M5 Max with 48 GB of RAM, a 40-core GPU and 614 GB/s of memory bandwidth. The M5 Max family supports up to 128 GB of RAM, while we offer 36 and 48 GB configurations — if you are looking for something else, just ask.
