- Price: Galaxy Z Fold8 256 GB costs 8,749 zł at Samsung — 1,250 zł less than iPhone Duo 256 GB (9,999 zł at Apple). In October 2026 Samsung also runs promotions, such as up to 1,000 zł cashback with PKO Bank Polski and Visa (until 31 Dec 2026).
- Weight and thickness: Fold8 weighs 201 g, Fold8 Ultra 215 g and iPhone Duo 254 g. Folded, the Fold8 Ultra is 8.9 mm thick and the Duo 11.3 mm.
- Zoom: Fold8 Ultra has a 200 MP camera and a 3× telephoto. iPhone Duo has no telephoto — its 2× zoom comes from the main sensor.
- Bigger screens on the Ultra: 8.0″ inside and 6.5″ outside, so folded it works like a regular phone.
- Multitasking: up to 3 apps at once on the inner screen, DeX mode and video output over USB.
- Experience and updates: Fold8 is the 8th generation of Galaxy foldables (the first Galaxy Fold arrived in 2019), and Samsung promises 7 years of OS updates.

- Stylus: Apple says Apple Pencil (USB-C) support is coming later this year. Fold8 and Fold8 Ultra don't support the S Pen.
- Wireless charging: MagSafe and Qi2 up to 25 W (Samsung: 20 W).
- Apple ecosystem: iMessage, FaceTime, AirDrop, Apple Watch and iCloud work right away, and you can move your data from your old iPhone.
iPhone Duo downsides: higher price, more weight (254 g), no telephoto and eSIM only — there is no slot for a plastic SIM card.
Xiaomi 18 Fold and MIX Flip: Xiaomi in Poland
On paper Xiaomi 18 Fold (launched 7 September 2026) has very strong specs: a 6,000 mAh battery, 67 W charging (50 W wireless), a 200 MP Leica camera with a 3.5× periscope and screens up to 4,000 nits. It weighs 219 g and is 10.7 mm thick folded.
The catch: Xiaomi officially sells it only in China. Imported units cost from about €1,650 in Europe, sellers give a one-year warranty, and the Chinese version doesn't support eSIM, Wear OS or Android Auto.
The only Xiaomi foldable officially sold in Poland is the 2024 Xiaomi MIX Flip (5,699 zł on mi.com/pl), and in October 2026 it is out of stock. It's a different kind of phone: a clamshell that folds in half vertically, with a 6.86″ screen and a small 4.01″ cover screen.

- iPhone Duo — if you have an iPhone, Mac or Apple Watch and want a foldable with IP68 and a titanium body.
